Expanding our charge point partnerships
At Drax Electric Vehicles, we’re pleased to announce three new EV hardware supplier partnerships. We’re always looking to extend the range of chargers we recommend and install to support different organisations and use cases.
Autel
Established in 2004, Autel have over 156,000 chargers installed worldwide, with over a third of these in the UK. The company manufactures both AC units with type 2 connectors and DC units with CCS connectors.
We can supply and install Autel AC chargers as wall-mounted, pedestal-mounted or free-standing. They’re available with power capacities up to 22kW – ideal for drivers’ homes, workplaces, depots or destinations.
Autel DC charging starts at 50kW and goes all the way up to 480kW – with a 1MW+ charger soon to arrive. These units suit workplace, depot and on-the-go charging applications.
AC or DC, Autel chargers feature intuitive and user-friendly interfaces and have RFID authentication and mobile cellular connectivity for robust and secure communications. The range offers different contactless card payment solutions, simplifying Public Charge Point Regulations (PCPR) compliance. Most units incorporate a screen for either displaying instructions or advertising opportunities.
For private settings, Autel chargers will meet the UK Smart Charge Regulations (SCR). Several Autel units are also designed for installation compliant with PAS 1899 for user accessibility and inclusivity.

KEBA
KEBA’s been developing charging infrastructure for over 15 years. It’s active in 16 countries and has sold over 550,000 charge points.
As a company, KEBA has a deep sustainability commitment, hence its:
- Development of CO²-optimised wallbox chargers
- Use of predominantly European parts in manufacture
- Offset of remaining carbon emissions through investments in certified climate protection programmes
- Work with ClimatePartner to analyse its end-to-end carbon footprint
At Drax Electric Vehicles, we currently supply and install a focused range of KEBA AC chargers with type 2 connectors. These units lend themselves to demanding workplace, depot or destination charging use cases requiring high durability levels.
The AC chargers deliver up to 22kW per connector and are suitable for wall- or pedestal-mounting. They benefit from a simple, LED-based interface.
All KEBA products that we install offer RFID authentication and robust and secure communications via mobile cellular connectivity.
For depots, workplaces and commercial locations, KEBA chargers will meet the UK SCRs.
Owners will need to install a separate payment kiosk – which we can also provide – to comply with PCPRs.
KEBA are introducing a range of DC chargers in the future. At Drax, we’ll be evaluating them for potential addition to our existing hardware portfolio.
Models:
- P30: carbon-neutral single-port charger suitable for long dwell-time charging
- P40: new- generation, carbon-neutral single-port charger suitable for long dwell-time charging
Ekoenergetyka
Based in Poland, only 200km from Berlin, Ekoenergetyka (‘Eko’) has been developing industry-leading charging systems for city buses for over 15 years. Eko charging solutions are operational in over 150 cities around the world.
We offer a targeted range of Eko’s DC charging units with CCS connectors, including:
- Integrated, standalone units offering 120kW to 400kW output
- Cabinet/satellite units providing 240kW to 400kW output (including a high-level mounted, distributed satellite system)
- A new charging system capable of delivering over 1MW output via liquid-cooled connectors – ideal for charging electric buses and HGVs
Eko’s user interfaces are simple and intuitive, and units feature lights to indicate charging status for approaching drivers. Footprints are small as the chargers are compact, which provides installation flexibility and improves user accessibility.
The majority of Eko units incorporate large primary screens – and smaller second screens – for displaying instructions or providing advertising opportunities.
All Drax-supplied Eko products come with RFID authentication and mobile cellular connectivity for robust and secure communications. They also offer a range of contactless card payment solutions for PCPR compliance – and can conform to PAS 1899 requirements on installation for ensuring user accessibility and inclusivity.
Models:
