Drax and Sitigrid announce partnership to support consumers and small-scale renewable generators
We’re pleased to have launched a ‘Peer to peer’ proposition for Drax customers and independent renewable generators, working in partnership with Sitigrid.
Sitigrid, an energy technology firm, owns and operates a platform that enables seamless half-hourly matching between given renewable generation and the electricity consumption of a remote customer. This can save customers money by reducing certain third-party charges. The savings achieved are shared between participants and can be invested in making their operations more sustainable.
Drax’s adoption of Sitigrid’s platform will create a streamlined process for overseeing these new arrangements between generators and consumers.
