Climate Change Levy

electric-blue-background

The Climate Change Levy (CCL) taxes energy use in industry, commerce and the public sector. Designed to help the UK reduce greenhouse gas emissions, all electricity suppliers must collect it from customers and include it on bills.

CCL reduction

If you’re an energy intensive organisation, you could be entitled to a reduced CCL charge. This only applies if you enter into a Climate Change Agreement with the Government to meet the energy saving targets negotiated for your sector.

On April 1 2019, the exemption changed.

To make sure your supply charges are reduced accordingly, you’ll need to complete forms PP10 and PP11 if you haven’t already. Please return PP10 to HM Revenue and Customs and PP11 to Drax before your Supply Start Date.
