Launch of new electric vehicle depot in Coventry brings jobs and investment to the region

The site, on Holbrook Park, will serve as a warehouse with office and meeting facilities for Drax Electric Vehicles (Drax EVs), and their installation business BMM Energy Solutions. As demand for EV infrastructure continues to rise, the new depot will support the businesses’ expanding operations across the UK.

BMM Energy Solutions has been installing EV charging hubs and on-street EV charging for the past 12 years. Its customers include Euro Garages, Applegreen Electric, Morrisons Supermarkets, Jolt and Arnold Clark, with many of these installations within the Coventry area.

Adam Hall, Director of Drax Electric Vehicles & BMM Energy Solutions, said “Electric vehicle charging is a growth area. With our experience and the new premises, we aim to employ 120 staff and operate two additional depots.

“Coventry is the perfect location for us. It’s close proximity to the motorways allows our engineers to access almost anywhere in the country to install EV chargepoints. There’s also a fantastic pool of local talent to support our growth ambitions.”
