Drax and Ginger Energy provide educational resources to clients
Drax is pleased to announce a collaboration with utility consultancy Ginger Energy to provide curriculum-aligned educational resources to UK schools and colleges.
In recent years, the education sector has developed a focus on sustainability and tackling climate change and looked towards suppliers and partners for support. The alliance between Drax and Ginger Energy – which has many clients from the education sector – answers that call. We’re leveraging our combined experience and expertise to make sustainability easier for teachers and pupils in state-run and private sector educational institutions.

More about Drax and Ginger Energy
Drax is the country’s largest source of renewable electricity and we’re developing an innovative negative emissions technology involving bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS). This will help us achieve our purpose – to enable a zero carbon, lower cost energy future – and out ambition: to be carbon negative by 2030. The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) suggests that BECCS will be vital for achieving the global aim of net zero emissions by 2050.
Ginger Energy helps businesses and other organisations – including many educational establishments – to find efficiency and savings in all aspects of power and water usage. For example, it offers energy procurement solutions, revenue recovery, invoice validation and metering services. The consultancy also ensures that clients comply with relevant industry regulations.
