The energy bills discount scheme
UPDATE 01-04-2023
The Energy Bills Discount Scheme has closed from 31 March 2024. The below information is for reference only.
We’ve asked customers to send us a meter reading between 31 March – 1 April so we can reconcile their bill and any discount received.
The energy bills discount scheme
The government has announced a new support package for businesses, The Energy Bills Discount Scheme.
This will run from 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2024, once the current Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) ends on 31st March 2023.
The scheme is available to non-domestic customers who are:
- on existing fixed price contracts that were agreed on or after 1 December 2021
- Signing new fixed price contracts
- On deemed, out of contract or variable tariffs
- On flexible purchase or similar contracts
If you’re on a Fixed contract and the wholesale price was below the Government Supported Price at the time you entered into your contract, you won't receive a discount. Read more about eligibility.
